• 1.5 kg of potatoes

• 50 cl of whole milk

• 50 cl of cream

• fresh whole liquid

• 1 clove of garlic

• Butter

• Nutmeg

• Salt and pepper

How to Prepare

• Preheat the oven to 180° C (th.6).

• Bring the milk to a boil with the peeled and pressed garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

• Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into slices. Immerse them in boiling milk and cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring often to prevent them from sticking.

• Pour the contents of the saucepan into a gratin dish and sprinkle with the cream. Place a few knobs of butter on top.

• Lower the oven to 160°C and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes: check the cooking with the tip of a knife, the potatoes must be tender and the top of the gratin golden!
